Hot coating is applied to cover the fine cracks created during the production process using tin-based materials, sprayed onto the external surface of the glass bottle by a machine. During the spraying of these materials, the temperature of the glass bottle exceeds 700 degrees Celsius. The hot coating technology is not available to all manufacturing companies, and the raw materials for this process are considered confidential technology.
Cold coating is installed at the end of the annealing lehr to prevent scratches on the product.
