Cold and hot coating

Hot Coating is applied to cover micro-cracks that may form during the production process. This is done by spraying tin-based materials onto the external surface of the glass bottle using a specialized device. At the time of application, the temperature of the glass bottle exceeds 700°C. The hot coating technology is not widely accessible to all manufacturers, and the raw materials used in this process are considered proprietary and confidential.

Cold Coating, installed at the end of the Lehr (annealing oven), is applied to prevent scratching and surface damage to the product.
